The primary duties of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District firefighters are fire suppression and the treatment and transportation of the sick and injured to the hospital. However, the firefighters have other training that expands the District’s response capabilities. EPFD personnel have training and expertise in other areas as well.
EPFD has certified firefighters that have receive specialized training in HazMat, swift water, flat (calm or standing) water, confined space, low and high angle, trench rescue, vehicle and heavy equipment extrication, Wildland Urban Interface, Urban Search and Rescue techniques and more.
